Silica

       Silica is a major mineral that functions in the formation of collagen in bone, cartilage, connective tissue and blood vessels. Silica is an important factor in bone calcification since large concentrations of silica is found in bone. Silica is also found in high concentration in the skin, hair and nails, further implicating it its role in promoting structural health. Orthosilicic acid, the form found in our Silica is the form predominantly absorbed by humans and is found in numerous tissues including bone, tendons, aorta, liver and kidney.
