DIABETES
It is a disease in which patient has high blood sugar. It is because of many reasons. Either pancreas does not produce enough insulin or cells do not respond to produced insulin. It is mainly three types - type 1 , type 2, and gestational. Type 1 diabetes is caused when beta cells of pancreas do not produce or produce less insulin. Type 2 diabetes can be also said as insulin resistance. Gestational diabetes occurs in pregnancy. It may improve or disappear after delivery. The classic symptoms of untreated diabetes are loss of weight, polyuria (frequent urination), polydipsia (increased thirst) and polyphagi (increased hunger). Symptoms may develop rapidly (weeks or months) in type 1 diabetes, while they usually develop much more slowly and may be subtle or absent in type 2 diabetes.
